Personal Review about Kusadasi Turkey
Kusadasi Turkey is the passion and feeling of a small town in Turkey that won my heart. The summer sun was a bit hot, but that made the cool dip in the Aegean all the sweeter. At Ladies Beach, the watermelon I ate as a giant was the essence of summer, so it was like starting over. And the food scene? How great! Oh how I enjoyed that Kusadasi Guvek, I felt like the bacon ancestors had come down to me. And their baklava… ugh… thin, spiral filo sheets drizzled with honey… heavenly!
My favorite place was Ephesus. It was hard to believe that I was actually walking the streets that were the walkways of the greatest warriors of their time and trying to imagine how things were when walking through the Great Theater in those days. Remember you have to wait there until history seeps into your bones.
There were impressive ruins, but there was much more to Kusadasi Turkey. I was mesmerized by the charming streets of Kaleici and its alleys with colorful Ottoman houses. Shopping at the market was one of the best experiences for me. Since we were into adventure, paragliding from Mount Honaz was a trip! It is a vista over the city and the Aegean Sea that will forever be etched in my memory.
Kusadasi surprised me in more ways than one. A destination where you can enjoy unparalleled beaches, a remarkable history and Turkish hospitality. Of course, if you get a lot of history and charm with your adventure, this Aegean favorite should be on your wish list!

Food Heaven – Delicious casseroles, baked in a clay pot, flaky pastry filled with almonds and drenched in honey was a great indulgence.
Time Travel: As we walked around the impressively preserved Roman ruins, the Great Theater sent shivers down my spine like a gladiator fight. The wonder of the time, the Library of Celsus boasted its massive facade. An experienced guide who offered a colorful discussion of the city’s history was helpful.
Calais: Walking the cobbled streets through the old town center of Calais was a real pleasure. Bright Ottoman houses with new wooden doors line the lanes. My heart was filled with joy as I bought an amazing Turkish rug.
